6:00 pm The mid-week events at LBC are designed to foster closer relationships with God, and each other through the activities of relationship building (fellowship), prayer, Bible Study, and worship. Each of the mid-week groups are open to all and structured as follows:
"Keiki Backyard Bible Club" offered to keiki (preschool through sixth grade) which meets on the back lawn of LBC for interactive games and fun. Afterwards, the club moves inside for an interactive Bible lesson.
"Jr. & Sr. High Youth Group" offered to 7th graders through High School and meets in the "One Love Youth Room" located inside the Fellowship Building of LBC.
"Adult Community Group" offered to all, meeting in the main room of the Fellowship Building. This group begins with a light conversation time followed by prayer and an interactive and in-depth discussion from the text of the previous Sunday Sermon. Currently, we are studying the N. T. Book of II Timothy.
We believe "Church" is more than what happens on a Sunday morning. Community Groups are formed with the conviction "Doing Life Together." If you would like more information about connecting with a Community Group, contact the church office today.
Community Group Format:
"Life Groups" are formed for fellowship and meet in homes across West Maui. The format of a "life group" involves shared communication, food, prayer, and dialogue about the text and topic of the previous Sunday's Sermon.
"Learning Groups" are formed around a key learning topic (book of the Bible; doctrine; teachings) to help participants engage and understand the topic of focus. Learning groups will meet at church or homes across West Maui.
"Equipping Groups" are the 'how-to's" of the Christian faith. The purpose of each group is to train and encourage participants in the practice of the focused topic (ie. prayer; Bible reading; worship; evangelism; serving).
"Leading Groups" are offered throughout the year and cover basic-training for: 1. leading ministries of the church. 2. serving the church as a Deacon. 3. Serving the church as an Elder. 4. Missions.
